My Malware Analysis Lab Setup

I have always been very curious on analyzing malware, whether it was doing static or dynamic analysis of a malicious binary. Either way you need an environment that is isolated from your home network, where you can execute the malware without infecting your home systems. In this blog I will guide thru the steps of creating an isolated virtual network with pfSense and Windows operating system. When the malware is executed it will have access to the internet, but NOT your home network. Disclaimer: Use at your own risk! Remember running live malware is dangerous and can cause you to lose your files or infect other systems. I am not responsible for any infections on production or home systems.
